Vermont Scores Swingman
First year Vermont head coach John Becker landed a verbal commitment from Brendan Kilpatrick, a six-foot-five swingman from Malvern Prep in Pennsylvania, who took an official visit to the school this weekend.
Kilpatrick earned Inter-Academic League MVP honors for Malvern last year after averaging 17 points and 6 rebounds per game and had an equally strong season on the summer AAU circuit playing alongside Villanova bound point guard Ryan Arcidiacono on the PA Playaz.
Kilpatrick has a college ready game that should allow him to contribute from day one in the America East complete with good size, athleticism, and a very consistent shooting stroke off both the catch or the dribble.
He had a wide range of scholarship offers this spring and summer ranging into numerous mid-major conferences.
