Vermont Lands Forward

The University of Vermont scored a commitment from six-foot-seven forward John Kopriva on Tuesday night.  Kopriva attends Marquette University High School in Wisconsin where he is a two sport athlete, doubling as both the star forward of the basketball team and the football team's starting quarterback.

Kopriva was a very hot prospect in recent weeks, reportedly scoring about a dozen offers from scholarship and Ivy League schools before making a verbal commitment to Vermont head coach Mike Lonergan on Tuesday night.

Kopriva reportedly selected the Catamounts over offers from Atlantic 10, CAA, and MAAC schools.
