Updated Connecticut 2027 Rankings (2/12/2026)

We've reached the point of the season where updated rankings are much overdue.

The state of Connecticut boasts some of the best prep schools in the nation, while also having one of, if not the best, state association basketball in New England.

At the top of the rankings is Patrick Otey, a native of Massachusetts who made his way to St. Thomas More this fall. Otey, an electric scoring guard with size, has garnered national recognition for his fluidity and ability to score it from all over. His teammate, DJ Hawkins, a native of Farmington Connecticut, comes in the second spot. Hawkins has been on the rise this winter, stepping up into a larger role under Coach Quinn and thriving.

Rochester New York's, Jalen Taggart, lands at the third spot. Taggart has been a key piece for the Putnam Science Mustangs with his lights-out shooting ability while they chase their sixth National Prep Championship since 2018. Bloomfield Connecticut's Declan Griffiths is fourth in the update as the wing scorer is starting to channel his upside, and may continue to rise up the rankings as time passes.

Rounding out the top five is another St. Thomas More Chancellor, Greyson Pierce. The West Hartford native is another prospect with loads of potential, rounding out what is a very impressive top five in the state.
