Recommendations
“Khalid Moreland—He’s a great teammate on and off the court. He gets everybody involved. He’s a great person and a great point guard. If you’re down, he’ll bring you up. And if he’s in the zone, I feel sorry for anybody who is guarding him.”
- Max Edwards, former Bunnell teammate
"Khalid is pound for pound the toughest kid on the court every single night. He plays hard all the time, raising the intensity and competitive energy on the practice floor as well. Khalid has a high basketball IQ and can run the screen and roll like a mistro."
- Greg Thomas, Head Coach, Bridgeport Prep
Scouting Report
First and foremost, Moreland is an energy-giver with a contagious motor and approach to the game. He can make plays on both ends of the floor. He's smooth with his handle, able to make tight changes of direction, and finish at various angles around the rim. Defensively, he has a terrific nose for the ball, both on-the-ball as well as in passing lanes. He can be effective at various tempos since he has the speed to create pace on demand but also the floor-vision and instincts to see the floor as a distributor and play pick-and-roll.
