Unsigned Senior Spotlight - Jayden Brown

Jayden Brown has been a high profile prospect in the state of New Jersey since his freshman season.

Skilled and impactful at a young age, he made an immediate contribution on an Immaculate Conception team that was one of the best in New Jersey.

Four years later, and he's continued to do nothing but impress while generating offers and interest from the likes of Manhattan, Bowling Green, NJIT, St. Francis PA, Delaware, Bryant, Hartford, Boston University, American, Wagner, Long Island, Howard, and Fairfield.

Like many unsigned seniors though, he's now fighting an uphill battle, not just because D1 coaches haven't been allowed out, but because the number of available spots are smaller than ever with all college players retaining their year of eligibility.

Nevertheless, there's no denying he is a scholarship caliber talent.

Recommendation

"He's a four-year varsity player who has been shooting the lights out, and, if we have a season, he is going to be one of the best shooters in New Jersey. He's a true point guard and has a senior's approach. He's thinking team first and sharing the ball really well."
- Jim Salmon, Head Coach, Immaculate Conception

Scout's Take

Brown is a highly skilled lead guard who shoots the ball especially well. He stretches the floor off both the catch and the dribble. He's a true point guard but has also shown he's capable of sharing the backcourt with another ball-handler. He's built-up his frame and made notable strides on the defensive end of the floor. He also has a lot of potential at the next level as a pick-and-roll guard because of his ability to shoot off the dribble and opposing defenders' consequently inability to go under screens on him.
