UConn Scores Boatright

The third time is hopefully the charm for point guard Ryan Boatright.

The former USC and West Virginia commit made a verbal pledge to the University of Connecticut on Monday and in so doing gave the huskies one of the highest ranked point guards left available in the country.

After decommitting from West Virginia a few weeks ago, Boatright immediately took an official visit to UConn and then traveled to UNLV this weekend before ultimately deciding he wanted to come to Connecticut.

A quick and athletic guard known for his playmaking skills as much as his leadership skills, Boatright should be able to step right in next year and team with Shabazz Napier to give the Huskies a dangerous and equally exciting backcourt combination.
