UConn Nabs International Swingman
German swingman Niels Giffey committed to UConn on Thursday following an official visit to the school. The story was first reported by the Hartford Court
Giffey also saw recruitment from Louisville, Michigan, Gonzaga, and UCLA but committed to the Huskies before visiting any other school.
The six-foot-seven swingman is described as an extremely versatile player who can play all five positions on the floor. In Germany, he starred for Alba Berlin, a prestigious youth basketball team coached by former European professional Henri Rodl.
