UConn Gets DeAndre Daniels

UConn scored a major 11th hour commitment yesterday when DeAndre Daniels, the highest ranked available prospect in the national class of 2011, picked UConn.

The Huskies weren't considered to be among Daniels' favorites as it was reported just three weeks ago that the California native was debating between Kansas and Texas, but the defending national champions swooped in at the to land a highly talented six-foot-eight swingman to play aside explosive six-foot-two point guard Ryan Boatright in their incoming class.

Daniels is a long and skilled small forward known as one of the best scorers in the country.  He and Boatright will add to an already dangerous Husky line-up that includes Jeremy Lamb, Shabazz Napier, Roscoe Smith, and Alex Oriakhi
