Timberlake on a Tear
Kimball Union Academy post-graduate Nick Timberlake has been taking his game to new levels in recent weeks and college coaches are now starting to pay attention.
The Braintree High School graduate has gone now gone for 30+ points in each of his last three games. The streak began ten days ago at Loomis Chaffee School when he went for a game high 32 points in a 78-77 loss. He was back at it four days later when KUA played the defending AA champions, Cushing Academy, down to the wire before falling 63-59. Timberlake was almost single handedly responsible for keeping it close in the second half as he went for 23 of his 31 points inn the final 18 minutes. Timberlake was as efficient as he was producitive in these games as he was 21-40 from the field collectively along with 7-14 from the arc and 12-15 from the charity stripe according to Krossover.
Wednesday, in one of the few games not rescheduled because of the winter storm, Kimball Union met Vermont Academy in the latest chapter of what has been a fairly one-sided rivalry in recent years. In what was just a 2 point game at halftime and a ten point game with 6 minutes left, KUA pulled away late for an 80-57 win. Timberlake was again the star, this time going for 31 points while adding 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Timberlake landed his most recent offer on Wednesday following his latest huge outing as Siena came calling. He previously held offers from schools in the MAAC, America East, and Patriot Leagues.
