Taplin to Tulsa
St. Thomas More's post-graduate guard Sterling Taplin made a verbal commitment to Tulsa on Tuesday.
Taplin, who came to STM by way of Williamsville North High School, has been one of the best players in upstate New York for the past three years and starred with the City Rocks at every step along the way.
Tulsa coaches had made the trip to St. Thomas More in recent weeks and are set to host Taplin for his official visit later this month.
He announced his decision on both his twitter and instagram accounts:

Taplin scored over 1800 points at Williamsville North, breaking schools records for both the most points and steals in a career. Now he's set to become an instrumental part of St. Thomas More's squad this year as he'll be one of the primary ball-handlers and playmakers in the backcourt.
He becomes the first player to commit to Tulsa, a program in the midst of moving from Conference USA to the American Athletic Conference where they will compete with the likes of UConn, Cincinnati, and Memphis among others.
