Suits & Sneakers Campaign Raises Over $10,000
Coaches vs. Cancer Suits And Sneakers Week took place throughout the country last week as coaches at all levels wore sneakers with their suits to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
The program, which originated in 1993, is coordinated by Coaches vs. Cancer, a collaboration between the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society.
This year, NERR and 23 prep school programs from across New England joined that fight and while donation pages remain open with one event still to come, we are proud to announce that the campaign has already raised over $10,000 to date.
A special thanks to all the programs who participated and in particular the likes of Worcester Academy ($2,100 raised), Wilbraham & Monson Academy ($1,425), St. Luke's School ($1,240), South Kent School ($1,148 raised), Canterbury School ($785 raised), Brooks School ($695 raised), Proctor Academy ($606 raised), and Cheshire Academy ($600 raised).
Our hope is that next year's Suits & Sneakers campaign will attract more schools, from all levels, to participate.
