Suffield’s Oni Sets NPSI Record
CoxHub.com began their live coverage from the National Prep School Invitational on Thursday night and the final game of the triple-header saw a record breaking performance.
Suffield Academy post-graduate and Yale commit Miye Oni was credited with 52 points in the official game book, an all-time high at the NPSI. Perhaps even more impressive than the final total though was his second-half outburst as he scored 34 points after halftime. Oni finished the game with a total of 11 three-pointers and shot 17-24 from the field.
Oni's incredible performance allowed Suffield to pull away down the stretch in a game that was tied at halftime.
CoxHub's NPSI coverage continues on Friday with another triple-header scheduled for a 5pm tip as a red-hot Cushing Academy team takes on Sunrise Christian Academy. The AAA battle between South Kent and New Hampton is on tap next at 6:30pm followed by Putnam Science Academy vs. Hill Academy at 8pm.
