Suffield’s Anderson to Nevada
One of the best available guards left on the board took to his twitter account to announce his decision last night as Suffield Academy point guard Juwan Anderson made a commitment to Nevada and recently appointed head coach Eric Musselmen.
Anderson is heading back close to home as the California native graduated from Bishop O'Dawd High School last year, where he played alongside national top ten prospect Ivan Rabb, and also starred for the Las Vegas Knicks on the AAU circuit prior to his arrival at Suffield.
He's made big contributions since joining the Tigers, earning first team All New England honors after leading Suffield to the finals of the NEPSAC Class A tournament.
He's also seen a steady, and wide-ranging, dose of division I recruitment during his time in New England. Most recently, he visited LIU but was reportedly in the process of setting up visits to California, Indiana and Pacific just prior to his commitment.
Anderson is a scoring lead guard who is both quick off the bounce and capable of making shots in bunches from behind the three-point line.
