Suffield Post-Grad Earns Scholarship

Suffield Academy post-graduate Erik Sanders was under-recruited for most of the year, but gradually earned the scholarship interest which he deserved.

A six-foot-four swingman with good athleticism and a versatile offensive game, the Harlem, New York native averaged close to 13 points per game along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.4 steals to earn first team all New England honors in class B of the NEPSAC.

"We're excited to have Erik joining our program, and are excited about what he brings to the table," Bloomfield head coach Gerald Holmes said.  "He can do a lot of different things on the court, and he fits the style we want to play.  We are looking forward to having him join our team next season."

Bloomfield has won back to back CACC championships while also advancing to consecutive NCAA East Regional finals.

Sanders joins Ben Freeland as the second member of this year’s Suffield Academy team to accept a full scholarship.
