Stonehill Earns Early Commitment in 2011

Stonehill College head coach Dave McLaughlin earned a commitment from Jack Cole of New Providence High School in New Jersey  last week.

A six-foot-seven big man who averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds per game as a junior, Cole is a long and athletic forward with an inside-out skill set and good shot-blocking skills on the defensive end of the floor.

``He’s very excited about it and so is his family,’’ New Providence coach Art Cattano told the Star Ledger. ``They showed a lot of interest in him early and he really likes them, too. He’s weighed all his options and this feels like the right thing for him.’’

Cole plans to sign a National Letter of Intent in November.
