STM’s Lynott D1 Bound

St. Thomas More School post-graduate guard Mick Lynott announced a verbal commitment to Gardner-Webb on Tuesday. 

Lynott is a native of Miami, Florida who previously attended Calvary Christian Academy and played his grassroots basketball with Florida Legacy. 

He arrived in New England for a post-graduate year this fall and quickly established himself as a leader for the Chancellors with his toughness, physical strength, and competitiveness. 

A 6-foot-2 combo-guard who is capable of playing both on and off the ball, Lynott also has solid ball-skills and is a hard-nosed defender, so he projects as the type of utility guard who plug a variety of holes at the next level while simultaneously providing a wealth of intangibles. 

He becomes the third member of this year's St. Thomas More team to accept a full division I offer, joining Joel Soriano and Brendan McGuire.
