South Kent Big Man Heading to SEC

Nemanja Djurisic, a 6-foot-8 power forward from the South Kent School in Conn., made a verbal commitment to Georgia on Sunday.

Djurisic was one of the top big men left available on the East Coast and had seen considerably increasing high-major recruitment throughout his final season. However, things started to get complicated in recent weeks as the coaching carousel at Utah and N.C. State had a big impact on his decision making process. In addition to Georgia, Utah and N.C. State, the Montenegro native also held high-major offers from Arizona State, Minnesota, and Kansas State while a host of mid-majors were eagerly trying to hang on including East Carolina and Fairfield.

Djurisic recently took visits to both Georgia and Kansas State, after seeing Arizona State earlier in the season, and came away particularly impressed with his trip to Georgia according to South Kent coach Kelvin Jefferson.
