Silva is D2 Bound

Bradford Christian Academy and D.C. Blue Devils guard Ronnie Silva made a verbal commitment to Adelphia University on Wednesday night.

He took to his twitter account to announce his decision.

Silva was one of the biggest stock-risers in New England this summer as he came into the month without a scholarship offer to his name but left it with three offers in hand after leading the Blue Devils to the championship of the Basketbull Hall of Fame National Invitational as well as the finals of the NERR Big Apple Summer Showcase.

Silva may be undersized at 5-foot-8 but he's one of the most skilled guards in the region with a definite flair for the game with the ball in his hands. He's as shifty and crafty as he is skilled and so he excels at creating space, either for his pull-up or to get all the way to the rim where he has another bag of tricks in his arsenal.

"Ronnie is one of the hardest workers I have ever had the pleasure to work with," said D.C. Blue Devils director and head coach T.J. Thompson. "He does everything with a chip on his shoulder and I couldn't be more proud of how far the kid has come. He will do great things at Adelphi!"

Below are some of his summer highlights as well as clips from a recent BCA open gym, both care of LW Productions.
