Shooting Touch Fall Schedule
Shooting Touch has released their schedule for what promises to be a busy four months of basketball as they round out the 2013 year.
On September 13th, the 2nd Annual Shooting Touch Sports Conference comes to Boston, bringing high level sports executives from around the country to share their advice on how to break into the sports industry. Representatives from Nike, Celtics, Adidas, Vitamin Water, SLAM, Red Sox, Patriots, Reebok, Comcast and many more make this a day not to miss.
For the 4th straight year The Shooting Touch Gala Celebration will return to the Reebok World Headquarters in Canton, Mass. The Shooting Touch Board of Directors (including NBA players and coaches), friends, family and fans are all invited to witness last year’s Sabbatical recipients pass the torch to the 2013-2014 Grantees! With delicious food, great drinks, and an impressive live and silent auction, September 14th will be a night to remember.
Shooting Touch will also be running their 7th annual, invite only, Preseason Tune Up in October and November! For six weeks, the tune-up will strive to prepare these young men and women for their upcoming seasons. Each week will feature a different high school head coach, who will add their personal touch to skills and drills and strength and conditioning. The program also features different teaching and mentoring, such as talks on nutrition, entrepreneurship, college basketball and leadership! The Shooting Touch Tune-up strives to prepare student athletes not just for the upcoming season on the court, but for the entire school year. Each player leaves our program with a personalized pair of ISlides, as well as their own Tune Up jersey.
The Shooting Touch Shootout had a lot of buzz last year, after Central Catholic and St. Anthony’s (NJ) went punch for punch, in what some have said could have been one of the best high school games in Massachusetts last year. St. Anthony’s will return in 2013, along with another national powerhouse in DeMatha Catholic, providing the top teams in the MIAA another opportunity to measure themselves against some of the nation’s best.
