Senat Returns a New Man

Coming off a breakout summer on the grassroots circuit, Marianapolis Prep big man Greg Senat has returned for his senior season a different player than the one who left last spring.

He’s in better shape, playing with more confidence, and being more assertive and productive on both ends of the floor.
“The summer went well,” Senat told the New England Recruiting Report on Wednesday night.  “I worked out a lot so it helped my game a lot.  I got in better shape, lost about 20 pounds, and just played well all summer.”

The New England Recruiting Report got a firsthand look at how well Senat was playing coming into the July evaluation period, as he stood out at the Hoop Group Elite Camp, before continuing to play well in both Springfield and Orlando with his Metro Boston AAU team.

Now he says that 12 schools remain in the hunt for his services in the class of 2013 – Drexel, Fairfield, St. Peter’s, Elon, Radford, Holy Cross, Sacred Heart, New Hampshire, Colgate, American, Lehigh, and Hartford.

Despite having already trimmed his list, Senat is in no hurry to make a final decision just yet.

“I’ll take a few unofficial visits [this fall] and probably by the end of this winter I’ll take some official visits,” he said, confirming that he doesn’t anticipate committing before the beginning of the high school season.

With his recruitment apparently in no danger of coming to a quick end, don’t be surprised to see his list get bigger before it gets any smaller as the Marianapolis Prep senior appears poised to continue taking his game to new levels.
