Selden Picks Kansas

Tilton senior Wayne Selden, the 14th ranked prospect in the ESPN 100 and second ranked prospect in New England, made a verbal commitment to the University of Kansas on Monday morning after taking his official visit this weekend.

The news was first reported by ESPN.com.

Selden traveled to Kansas with his mother, father, and grandmother and was on hand Friday night for Late Night in the Phog.

“It just felt like the right place for me,” Selden said following his visit.  “Coach Self has a record that speaks for itself.  Kansas is an elite program with a long tradition.  Through my whole recruiting process, my family and I were utterly impressed with their professionalism.”

"Everyone at Tilton is excited for Wayne,” Tilton School head coach Marcus O’Neil said.  “He went through the recruiting process with his family and they made a decision that they are comfortable with and excited about.  I think Wayne can have a very productive career at Kansas."
