Schoenerstedt’s Journey Leads Him to New York Next
Wilbraham & Monson power forward Nikias Schoenerstedt announced his commitment earlier this month to Nyack, a D2 school in New York.
Schoenerstedt, a native of Munich, Germany came to New England for his only season this past year. He was a key cog in the Titans’ rotation, helping them win 22 games and the top overall seed in NEPSAC Class AA.
“Nikias had a major impact on our team,” said Wilbraham & Monson head coach Mike Mannix. “Not only was he terrific in his role, but also as a teammate. He pushed guys in practice and set a high standard for competitiveness each day.”
“He’s going to continue to do that at Nyack as he stretches the floor, defends, and makes everyone better.”
Schoenerstedt becomes the fifth member of the Titans’ 2022 class who will be competing at the scholarship level next season.
