Scheduled Announced for Scholar Roundball Classic
The 5th annual Scholar Roundball Classic will take place on Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th at Babson College in Massachusetts and this year's field may be the best yet with top academic prospects on every roster in attendance.
Northfield Mount Hermon, the school that currently has three times as many players in the Ivy League as any high school in the country, returns to action while three of the most prestigious academic prep schools in the entire country - Phillips Exeter, Andover and Choate Rosemary Hall - are in action as well.
Two of AA's favorites, Vermont Academy and Cushing Academy, return to the field while Cheshire Academy and Holderness will square off Saturday night in an all-NEPSAC clash. Just prior to that the last two Class A champions will meet as Exeter faces Williston Northampton while other class A schools like Suffield, Milton, Tabor, Avon Old Farms, Kent and Loomis Chaffee all arrive with division I prospects on their roster as do Rivers, Brimmer & May and Greens Farms Academy.
Blair Academy will be making their return to the Scholar Roundball Classic as well with their most talented team in years including a pair of juniors who are already being recruited at the very highest levels while Champlain St. Lambert will again be traveling south from Canada to participate.
