SCA’s Marable D1 Bound
Springfield Commonwealth Academy big man Josiah Marable is headed back home to play his division I basketball.
The post-graduate big man graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington D.C. in 2018, and spent time playing for both District Basketball Club and D.C. Premier on the grassroots levels, and has now accepted an athletic scholarship from Morgan State University in nearby Baltimore, Maryland.
Marable announced his commitment via twitter, thanking his family, friends, and coaches along the way.

The wide-bodied 6-foot-8 big man is super skilled, not just inside the paint but also facing the basket. He has terrific hands and touch, a definite passing instinct, and even the ability to stretch the floor and handle the ball.
While his conditioning is a continued point of emphasis, Marable's size is a big part of his identity as he understands how to use his frame to create space and gain leverage at various points on the floor.
He joins Marial Mading, who enrolled at Rhode Island mid-year, to become the second member of Springfield Commonwealth's 2019 class to accept a division I scholarship.
