Recommendations
"Darius Boben is the best player I have coached during the twenty years I have been at the helm at James I. O'Neill High School. He is a versatile guard that can not only score the ball on offense but be a take away defender on the defensive end. Offensively, he shoots the ball well and has shown the ability to consistently hit the college level three point shot. He has the ability to get to the basket with ease and finish demonstrating great body control. When getting to the basket, he finishes with athleticism and is not afraid to throw a dunk down whether someone is in front of him or not. On the defensive end, Darius shows tremendous "IQ", good hands and is an exceptional on ball defender. He shows the ability to anticipate well on and off the ball as well. During his four years at O'Neill, Darius demonstrated a great work ethic and a positive rapport with his teammates and coaches."

Scout's Take
Boben is physically talented with good size, strength, and athleticism. He has very good hands defensively, creates offense from his defense, and can really get downhill with impressive pace. While he was physically dominant at the high school level, he has all the tools to transition to higher levels of competition, and foundation to become a consistent shooting threat as well.
