Reuter Cuts List to 5

Jarred Reuter’s travel basketball career officially came to an end this weekend as he and his New England Playaz squad wrapped up the summer evaluation period at the Fab 48 Showcase in Las Vegas.

The six-foot-eight big man has the rare distinction of playing for the same travel program for the length of his entire high school career and so it was only fitting that he his final outing was a successful one.

He opened the event with a monster game on the block as he pulled down 20 rebounds to go along with his 12 points and followed that up with game winning free-throws for a 65-64 win over Big Red from California. He was no less impressive in his third game with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

That string of performances resulted in his latest offer, this one from the reigning ACC champions, Virginia.
It turns out the Cavaliers got to the party just in time as Reuter trimmed his list to five schools less than 48 hours later – Providence, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Iowa, and Virginia.

There is no timetable for Reuter’s final decision although he is expected to sign during November’s early signing period.
