Reid Sets a New Mark
Ahmad Reid went into Tuesday night’s game against Millbrook needing only 19 points to become the school’s all time leading scorer – a mark that was set 24 years ago by Melissa DelValle.
Reid came out strong, scoring 15 first half points, but Berkshire still trailed 36-30 going into the half.
The senior swingman opened the second with a quick three followed by a subsequent lay-up to sound the buzzer and claim the title as the Berkshire School’s all time leading scorer.
Reid wasn’t done yet though as he would rattle off 12 more points to finish with 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists to lead Berkshire to a 69-65 win over Millbrook.
The New York native ran with the Long Island Lightning Dingle on this summer’s AAU circuit and made a verbal commitment to Stony Brook late last month.
Reid has now scored 1472 points over the course of his three year career at Berkshire.
