Patrick Racy 2016

Northfield Mount Hermon forward Patrick Racy has committed to Tufts University, pending acceptance of his early decision application.

Racy began his career at Ridgefield High School before transferring into NMH last season. He's also starred with High Rise Elite on the AAU circuit.

He received some interest from Ivy and scholarship level schools but was ultimately recruited hardest by a wide variety of academic division III schools before narrowing his choice down to Tufts and NYU.

"The great combination of academics and athletics, while also being close to a city, was an important combination for me," Racy told the New England Recruiting Report.

While he's played in more of a supportive role during his career at NMH, Racy has a chance to make an immediate impact in the NESCAC with his college ready body and efficient inside-out game, and potentially develop into a major contributor at that level.

"I think I have a great opportunity to play right away if I work hard," he said.

Racy joins A.J. Brodeur (Penn) to become the second member of NMH's senior class to finalize his recruitment. He is also the second High Rise Elite prospect to commit to a high academic school following Edens Fleurizard's pledge to Hobart last month.
