Quinnipiac Lands Late Score

Quinnipiac University picked up a late commitment in the class of 2013 from Alain Chigha, a six-foot-seven swingman from the Rock School in Florida.

Chigha was a fixture in the northeast last spring and summer, running with the Westchester Hawks on the AAU circuit, and competing in the Northeast Hoops Festival and Memorial Day Super 16 Showcase alike.

Quinnipiac is also considered to be one of the favorites for Salisbury forward Samuel Dingba, who competed on that saw Westchester Hawks team last year.

While the presence of Chigha, along with former Salisbury guard Zaid Hearst, certainly can't hurt the Bobcats' pursuit of Dingba, Chigha is a valuable pick-up on his own with great size, good athleticism, and a budding skill set.
