PSAs Menard Heading D2
Putnam Science Academy post-graduate Kyle Menard has made a verbal commitment to Pace University, a division II school in Pleasantville, New York competing in the prestigious Northeast 10 Conference.
Menard came to PSA after a successful high school career at Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey, where he averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds during his senior year.
A highly versatile player capable of playing multiple positions, Menard is six-foot-four but has a thick and naturally powerful body that allows him to match-up up with bigger players around the rim. He also owns the skill set and shooting range to extend his game to the perimeter, making him a major mismatch problem.
Pace is now under the leadership of first year head coach Pat Kennedy, who returned to his northeast roots after having previously been the head coach at places including Iona College, Florida State University, DePaul University, University of Montana, and Towson University.
Menard joins Chaise Daniels (Quinnipiac), Jordan Butler (Norfolk State), Anthony Durham (Rider), and Danny Upchurch (Charleston Southern) to become the fifth member of this year’s Putnam Science team to earn a scholarship.
Post-graduates Dalique Mingo and Jalen Terry remain still available in the 2014 class.
