Petronio Picks Boston College
Milton Academy & Expressions Elite guard Nick Petronio announced his commitment to Boston College on Friday afternoon.
He has been a standout the last two seasons for a Milton squad that has won a combined 43 games during that span. This included a 2023 NEPSAC Class A Championship where they beat St. Sebastian’s 77-76. Petronio’s impressive play also helped earn him 2022 ALL-NEPSAC honors.
His performance on the Nike EYBL circuit with Expressions Elite helped get his name out to more schools. He picked up his first D1 offer from Brown in April before landing high major offers from Boston College and Illinois in the coming months. Petronio averaged 13.2 points and shot 43.8% from long-range for a team that earned an E16 Peach Jam berth.
“This is wonderful news for Nick and his family,” said Milton head coach Lamar Reddicks. “Nick is an outstanding player who just keeps getting better.”
“What Earl Grant and his staff have been able to do so far at BC has been remarkable. This combination is going to make noise in the ACC.”
Petronio becomes the second member of Milton’s 2024 class who has made a commitment to play division one college basketball.
