Perez Earns Scholarship
Springfield Commonwealth Academy post-graduate, Bishop Hendricken High School alum, and longtime Rhode Island Elite guard Justin Perez announced his commitment to Adelphi.
Perez won three state championships at Hendricken during his time in the RIIL and proved himself against the top prep school competition in the country this year, leading SCA in scoring at over 16 points per game.
"Justin is a great kid and an extremely hard worker," said Rhode Island Elite head coach Nick Light. "He's a coach's dream who I think will help impact winning from day one at Adelphi."
"In these crazy times it's great to see a high school kid like Justin be rewarded for his hard work with a scholarship to the next level."
Skilled, hard-working, and reliable, Perez has proven he's capable of filling various types of roles. He can thrive as a spot-up shooting role player or take on a bigger offensive role when needed, but is always playing within himself with an efficient style.
