Odom Has New List
After splitting time with Expressions Elite and the New York Panthers over the July live period, Rod Odom has been able to turn some looks into offers.
Last week came word that Louisville and head coach Rick Pitino offered the New York native. This weekend UConn officially entered the race as well as assistant coach Pat Sellers called Odom’s father, Rod Odom Sr., to extend an offer according to SNY’s Adam Zagoria.
The New England Recruiting Report caught up with Odom Sr. on Sunday night who said his son now has offers on the table from Michigan, Louisville, UConn, Vanderbilt, Miami, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Boston College, Arizona, Rhode Island and Harvard.
Of those Odom lists UConn, Louisville, Boston College, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Arizona, Miami, Georgia Tech and Harvard tops on his list.
Odom has already visited Harvard, Boston College, and Georgia Tech, and is expected to visit Connecticut’s campus sometime this week with a trip to Louisville in the not so distant future.
“I’m cutting my list down to five by later this month,” Odom told Zagoria, “and probably [deciding by] middle to late September.”
Odom is a 6’9” player with a good skill set on the perimeter and an especially smooth three-point stroke. He projects as a small forward or a face-up four-man at the next level.
