O’Connell NESCAC Bound

Williston Northampton senior forward Joe OConnell has committed to Connecticut College following acceptance of his ED application.

O’Connell is putting up big numbers during his first season at Williston, averaging 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, while scoring 25 or more points in each of his last three games.

The six-foot-five forward will provide the Camels with a versatile inside-out scoring threat who is an excellent three-point shooter and also equally capable of playing with his back to the basket or putting the ball on the floor.

O’Connell joins Ryan Palumbo (Roger Williams), Keegan Dunlop (Simon Fraser University), Erik Eichinger (Occidental), and Max Risch (American International College) to become the fifth Williston product to take his career to the college level in the last four years.
