National Prep Showcase - Saturday Blog
A number of the top grassroots scouts were on hand at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT for the annual National Prep Showcase.
In case you missed any of the action, here is a rundown from them on some of the Saturday standouts.
Xavier commit & @BrewsterHoops wing Reid Ducharme showcased his three-point shooting ability last game set. He drained four triples on a blend of off the catch/move attempts while also using his strong body well taking bumps near the rim. Scored 18 points. pic.twitter.com/31uJfO9Lgl

2023 guard Russell Branch was a bright spot for @FUMAPGbball last game set. He separates from defenders with his burst, finds teammates for drop-off finishing opportunities, and draws contact well on layups. pic.twitter.com/bPJBqPYY44

Liked what I saw from 2023 @HargravePGBB & @UPLAYCanada guard Kailon Nicholls last game set. He can hit treys on pull-ups/side-steps, find teammates with crafty passes in the half-court, while also having quick feet/hands defensively. @KN5basketball pic.twitter.com/zOa8hqYa84
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 19, 2022
Intrigued by 2023 @SocalAcad forward Carlin Davison. The New Zealand native has a high motor on the glass, consistently makes contact setting screens, and shows flashes of hitting standstill three-pointers. pic.twitter.com/nSEsKHswPG
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 19, 2022
2023 @BridgtonHoops SG Miles Klapper caught my eye last game set. He is a pull-up/spot-up threat from long-range, makes good decisions as a passer when attacking closeouts, while also having intellect to regularly be in the right spots defensively. pic.twitter.com/dmrTQX7GUv
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 19, 2022
2024 @MMAPGBasketball SG Troy McKoy Jr poured in 26 points on an efficient 9-17 from the field last game set. He can hit treys off the dribble with minimal space and enforce his physicality driving to the basket for layups through contact. pic.twitter.com/bxA6gH7zio
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 19, 2022
2023 @StThomasMoreBB forward Louie Semona impressed in a victory making three standstill treys, showing soft mid-range touch, and flashes of passing instinct in the half-court. pic.twitter.com/r0Mk1AH6dM
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 19, 2022
Alabama commit & @PSAhoops forward Mouhamed Dioubate was impressive during a narrow win with his footwork scoring near the rim, creation ability in one on one situations, and strength/motor rebounding at both ends. Had a double-double, going for 14 points and 12 rebounds. pic.twitter.com/ugGWXZyKnc
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 19, 2022
2024 wing Dominic Stewart hit the game winning trey last game set. He brings good positional size, has comfort hitting treys off the catch/dribble, while also rebounding well with his knack for being around the ball when it comes off the rim. Finished with 23 points & 11 boards. pic.twitter.com/YbK3uxiJj9
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 20, 2022
Akron commit & @CushingBBball forward Marvin Musiime-Kamali was a standout tonight. He showcased explosiveness for momentum changing dunks, length/lateral quickness defending on the ball, and mid-range/free throw line shooting touch. pic.twitter.com/Z0y9TBvMBD
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) November 20, 2022
Like the Isaac Bonilla signing for Maine. The @BCABoysVBB SG is a heady long-range sniper who lets the game come to him. Has the ability to hit three-pointers off the catch, move, or when pulling up. Drilled seven triples on his way to scoring 23 points in a win. pic.twitter.com/Vaqof8HhHS

I’ve watched @BrewsterHoops for a long time and this is the most connected I’ve seen them this early in the year. https://t.co/SwW8LA4iyE

Some super impressive moments from Tyler Betsey today. Still so young & early in his development, but appears to be taking another step since his breakout summer. https://t.co/hFQCOIBheD

Keyshaun Tillery has been as good as any lead guard at #NPS thus far. The 2025 @NHSHuskies floor general has kept the ball moving and made a number of nice passes. He was a standout for @cityrocksEYBL in the #Lea8ue last season @madehoops
— Brian Flinn (@BflinnMADE) November 19, 2022
Seth Joba is back at it this afternoon. Knocking down shots from deep and scoring at the rim #NPS @madehoops
— Brian Flinn (@BflinnMADE) November 19, 2022
2024 wing Tyler Betsey has always been a shooter from beyond the arc. He’s shown an improved ability to attack off the dribble and good touch in the midrange #NPS @madehoops
— Brian Flinn (@BflinnMADE) November 19, 2022
Really like the developments Takai Hardy has made in his game. The @Buff_Athletics 2023 F has gotten it done on both ends this afternoon. He could be another of the #NPS breakout guys of the weekend @madehoops
— Brian Flinn (@BflinnMADE) November 19, 2022
Blake Barkley (Northwestern) with a game saving block at the buzzer. @PSAhoops 64-61 over a very tough @Buff_Athletics group in what the as arguably the game of the weekend thus far at #NPS @madehoops

Aaron Davis is approaching NBA Jam territory, just ripped off three straight threes in about 90 seconds. Big framed wing who has a quick release and gets hot in a hurry #NPS @madehoops
