Notre Dame Gets Big Addition
The best big man in New England next year might not be Kaleb Tarczewski, Mitch McGary, Nerlens Noel or Andre Drummond.
New Zealand native Steven Adams, who emerged as the big story at last week's Adidas Nations Global Experience, is headed to Notre Dame Prep next year.
Adams is already committed to Pittsburgh, but also projects as a potential lottery pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Just how good Adams truly is remains to be seen, but he is quite possibly as heralded of a one year prospect to join New England's prep ranks since Michael Beasley starred at Notre Dame in 2006-2007.
One thing is for certain and that's that Adams will have the opportunity to measure himself against the very best big men in the country next year with potential match-ups against Drummond, McGrady, Tarczewski, and Noel all looming on the horizon.
Adams will anchor the interior of a Notre Dame Prep team that is already loaded with perimeter firepower thanks to the return of Ricardo Ledo, Myles Davis, and Sam Cassell Jr.
That trio had a big part in Notre Dame's run to the finals of last year's National Prep Championship, and with Adams set to join the mix this year, the Crusaders look poised to make another run at a national title.
