Northwestern Lands Simmons
One of the top rising seniors in New England ended his recruitment on Saturday night when Milton Academy and Mass Rivals wing Casey Simmons announced his commitment to Northwestern.
Simmons, who was recently ranked within the ESPN 100 of 2021, had previously trimmed his list to seven schools.
"I am excited to announce that I have committed to Northwestern University's basketball program," Simmons tweeted. "I would like to thank everyone that has gotten me here: my coaches Vin, Tom, and Reddicks, my parents, and most importantly God. With that being said #GOPURPLE."
His commitment will reunite him with former Rivals teammate, Boo Buie, who averaged over 10 points per game this year as a freshman at Northwestern.
Simmons is the third member of the Rival's 2021 class to commit to a division I school as he joins Camaron Tongue, who committed to Santa Clara in the fall, and Lyndel Erold, who pledged to Brown earlier in the spring.
Simmons is a long and athletic wing who is just scratching the surface of his potential as he continues to fill out his frame and improve his jumper.
