Northeast Hoops Festival Preview

When it comes to bringing New England’s top talent into one event, the Northeast Hoops Festival was one of a kind in 2012.

This year’s field might be even better as virtually every major program will be in attendance, along with top teams from New York, New Jersey, and the rest of the greater northeast region.

All five of thetop  individual prospects in NERR’s 2014 rankings will be in action beginning with Chris McCullough, who will lead Team Scan as they attempt to invade New England. They’ll have their work cut out for them as Goodluck Okonoboh and Kaleb Joseph lead a powerful Mass Rivals team while Abdul-Malik Abu and Jared Terrell have Expressions Elite building momentum heading into their first EYBL season.

Bonzie Colson will lead the BABC into their final tune-up before next weekend’s EYBL opener while their powerhouse sophomore squad will headline the U16 division, putting their undefeated record on the line as they continue to build towards a run at an unprecedented third straight national championship.

The top prospect in New England’s class of 2015 will also be in action as Jarred Reuter leads ECE-Mass into action in the U17 field.

The rest of the field is filled with a variety of other contenders including CBC, Rhode Island Hawks, Connecticut Select, Metro Boston, MB Nation, Maine MAC, Lone Wolf, Boston Warriors, United Sons & Daughters, Mass Elite, New England Storm, Connecticut Gold, Academic Basketball Club, East Coast Elite, Bay State Magic, Drive 4 Stardum, New England Basketball (formerly Bishop Elite), Team Jersey Elite, Long Island Lightning, Albany City Rocks, and many more.
