North Carolina Offers Murphy

North Carolina became the final school to offer Alex Murphy a scholarship on Thursday when Tar Heels head coach Roy Williams called the St. Mark's junior swingman on Thursday night.

North Carolina was the one remaining holdout but couldn't wait any longer after watching Murphy's latest starring performance last Sunday at the St. Mark's open gym.

Williams was just one of many prestigious head coaches in the gym as he was joined by Duke's Mike Krzyzewski, Kansas' Bill Self, Florida's Billy Donovan, Connecticut's Jim Calhoun, West Virginia's Bob Huggins, Villanova's Jay Wright, Michigan's John Beilein, Boston College's Steve Donahue, Stanford's Johnny Dawkins, and North Carolina State's Sidney Lowe.

Murphy hasn't announced his final list yet but is considering a wide variety of the countries most prestigious programs including Arizona, Boston College, Butler, Duke, Florida, Kansas, North Carolina, Syracuse, Texas, Villanova, and West Virginia, all of whom have now offered him a scholarship.
