Three Local Players Join Western Connecticut:
Western Connecticut State University has welcomed three freshmen to their campus this week. All three are from the greater Hartford area as the Colonials continue to focus the majority of their recruiting efforts on their backyard.
Jeff Veneziano from Rocky Hill High School, Dave Addy from East Catholic High School, and Eugene Robinson from New Britain High School all join the mix. Veneziano is a hard working role player who will is likely to be a good fit in WestConn’s defensive system. Addy is a player who played on an extremely successful East Catholic team going to the class LL state finals in each of the past two years. Eugene Robinson is a fast and athletic combo guard who should add valuable depth to the Colonials backcourt that already features local products including Taeshon Gillespie and Dashon Jennings.
