New England Trio Picked for Jordan Brand Regional Game

Jordan Brand, a division of NIKE, Inc., announced the rosters for the Jordan Brand Classic’s Regional Game, which will feature the top prep players from the greater New York area.  The regional game will be played at Barclays Center on Friday, April 18 along with the International and All-American games.  

Local New England products including Kimball Union Academy’s Abdul-Malik Abu, Brewster Academy’s Jared Terrell, and Fairfield Prep’s Paschal Chukwu were selected.  

The Home Team includes Khadeen Carrington (Bishop Loughlin/Brooklyn, NY/Seton Hall), Adonis De La Rosa (Christ The King/Middle Village, NY/Undecided), Dwayne Foreman (Massanutten Military Academy/Woodstock, VA/Rutgers), Terry Larrier (Phelps School/Malvern, PA/VCU), Abdul-Malik Abu (Kimball Union Academy/Meriden, NH/NC State), Cheddi Mosely (St. Anthony /Jersey City, NJ/Boston U), Shavar Newkirk (Cardinal Hayes/Bronx, NY/St. Joe’s), Trayvon Reed (Life Center Academy/Burlington, NJ/Maryland), Desi Rodriguez (Abraham Lincoln/Brooklyn, NY/Seton Hall), Ismael Sanogo (East Side H.S./Newark, NJ/Seton Hall) and Samson Usilo (Nazareth Regional/Brooklyn, NY/Manhattan).

The Away Team includes Paschal Chukwu (Fairfield College Prep/Fairfield, CT/Providence), Angel Delgado (The Patrick School/Elizabeth, NJ/Seton Hall), Devin Eke (Union Catholic/Scotch Plains, NJ/FDU), Kobie Eubanks (Our Savior New American/Centereach, NY/Undecided), Paul Jorgenson (Don Bosco Prep/Ramsey, NJ/GW), Ja’Quan Newton (SS Neumann-Goretti/Philadelphia, PA/Miami), Michael Nzei (Our Savior New American/Centereach, NY/Undecided), Marial Shayok (Blair Academy/Blairstown, NJ/Marquette), Sterling Taplin (Williamsville North/Williamsville, NY/Undecided), Jared Terrell (Brewster Academy/Wolfeboro, NH/Oklahoma State), Dominique Uhl (Point Pleasant Beach/Point Pleasant, NJ/Iowa) and Michael Williams (Bishop Loughlin/Brooklyn, NY/Rutgers).

The tripleheader begins with the International Game at 2:30 PM, followed by the Regional Game at 4:30 PM. The All-American Game tips off at 7:00 PM, and will be broadcast live on ESPN2. The All-American Game will feature 26 of the top prospects in the country, including all of the Top-10 rated players from the ESPN 100, highlighted No.1 Jahlil Okafor (Chicago, IL/Duke), No. 2 Myles Turner (Bedford, TX/Undecided), No. 3 Cliff Alexander (Chicago, IL/Kansas), No. 4 Tyus Jones (Apple Valley, MN/Duke) and No. 5 Emmanuel Mudiay (Dallas, TX/Southern Methodist).

Current Jordan athletes Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin highlight a long list of prominent Jordan Brand Classic alumni.
