New England Prep Champions to be Crowned Sunday

All six NEPSAC classes, as well as New England's Power 5 Conference, held semi-finals on Saturday with winners moving on to Sunday's championship games.

Rhode Island College will play host to the NEPSAC's three highest classes. The Class A final will tip at 2pm between Suffield Academy and Phillips Exeter Academy. Suffield defended their home court with a 49-46 win over Avon Old Farms on Saturday while Exeter did the same by holding off Milton Academy 63-54. At 4pm, Cushing Academy will meet the Tilton School for the Class AA championship. Cushing held their home court against Proctor while Tilton knocked off Vermont 90-73. The main event will tip at 6pm as top seeded Brewster Academy, coming off a 77-66 semi-final win over the New Hampton School, will face Northfield Mount Hermon, who survived a hardfought semi against South Kent 73-67.

Clark University will host the other three finals with Class D tipping this off at 2pm with top-seeded Storm King, who defeated Christian Heritage on Saturday, against Wooster School, who beat Bancroft. 4pm's Class C final will feature a pair of local rivals from Connecticut in St. Luke's School and Greens Farms Academy. St. Luke's defeated Hyde (ME) on Saturday 66-55 while Greens Farms Academy upped Hamden Hall 68-57. Brooks School will face Marianapolis Prep for the Class B championship in the nightcap at 6pm. Brooks knocked off Rivers convincingly 73-49 on Saturday while Marianapolis scored the mini-upset at second seeded Kingswood-Oxford 66-62.

The Power 5 Conference, a non-NEPSAC league, will host their final at Fitchburg State University as Notre Dame Prep takes on Putnam Science Academy. Notre Dame defeated Commonwealth Academy 72-62 in Saturday's semi to advance while PSA handled Redemption Christian 106-73.

Brackets for the National Prep Championship are expected to be announced Sunday night following the conclusion of all New England finals.
