NERR-TV Virtual Showcase - Commitment Catch-Up

When the pandemic hit and the recruiting world was shut down, the NERR-TV Unsigned Senior Showcase was born out of necessity.

After nearly 15 years of hosting the best showcases in the region, we pivoted to a virtual showcase, which was the first of its kind. Admittedly, we couldn't be sure how it would go. But when it was all said and done, the results exceeded even our most ambitious hopes.

There were 50 players profiled in the class of 2020. Every single one of them landed new recruitment after participating in the showcase and over half from scholarship level schools.

When the benefits of the platform became undeniable, we extended it to include the rising senior class of 2021. To date we've had 46 players participate and already 19 are off the board, having made their college commitments even at a time when the recruiting world is operating at an unprecedentedly slow pace.

Dominic Mello and Matt Price accepted full athletic scholarship offers to Sacred Heart and Pace respectively. Matt Mulvey, Jaden Bobbett, Sam Stevens, Nick Johnson, Teddy Mangiarotti, Carter Meshanic, Hunter Meshanic, Aidan Callahan, Clifton Goode, Cole Bryant, Stuart McCallum, Ty Murphy, Jack Garside, Griffin Walbridge, Seth Caslin, Will Barton, and Cody Appleton have all committed to high academic division III schools.

To put that number in perspective, there are currently 49 players in New England committed to D3 schools, meaning that roughly 40% of those players came from the NERR-TV Virtual Showcase.

And we're still just getting started. Stay tuned to NERR this week as we'll recall some of the top available players that have taken part in the Virtual Showcase and remain uncommitted in the class of 2021.
