NEPSAC Showcase Standouts

The NEPSAC Coaches' Association rallied together to provide their student-athletes a chance to receive exposure from Division I, II, and III college coaches this weekend in the first of two player showcases during the new NCAA recruiting weekends exclusively for scholastic events.

A handful of players picked up new scholarship offers including incoming Phillips Exeter wing 2021 wing Josh Morissette and rising Wilbraham & Monson senior big man John Adams, who were both offered by New Hampshire. Towson University offered a pair of rising senior guards in St. George's Tyler Kolek and Proctor's Bol Akot. Brooks big man Sam Thomson landed new offered from Bucknell and Penn. Reece Brown also landed a new offer from Robert Morris.

NERR's Zack Sandberg was on hand and provided his thoughts on four players who stood out:

Reece Brown, Loomis Chaffee '20 - Aside from his new offer, Brown showcased his athleticism throughout the weekend. He made some explosive plays in the open floor and was above the rim like few others. Off the court, he also made it clear that while he picked up a high-major offer earlier this spring, he's open to all suitors and levels of division I recruitment.

Jackson Benigni, Hamden Hall '20 - The Hamden Hall scoring guard was one of the better shooters in the field. He made a bunch of shots throughout the weekend including one game where he was 7-11 from behind the three-point line.

Mike Graham, Canterbury '20 - The incoming Canterbury post-graduate introduced himself to New England in this setting. The late-blooming big is still just growing into his body, and potentially still growing period. He's oozing potential and has a chance to be very good given his physical potential and high-motor.

Jair Currie, St. Thomas More '20 - Currie was an aggressive and versatile scorer this weekend while showing a mature approach. He showed athleticism by finishing a couple of dunks above the rim with ease and also knocked down a couple of long jumpers. He'll return to the court this Thursday for the Elite 75 College Showcase.

The NEPSAC will host a second showcase this coming weekend at Hamden Hall in Connecticut.
