NEPSAC Brackets Announced

The NEPSAC announced their tournament brackets in all six New England divisions on Sunday, setting the stage for what should be an exciting week of post-season action.

Top seeded Brewster Academy and second seeded Northfield Mount Hermon earned byes in AAA while New Hampton and South Kent will meet at Worcester Academy and Bridgton Academy will travel to third seed St. Thomas More on Wednesday.

Tilton earned the top seed in AA but they have a tough task ahead of them as they’ll first have to hold off a St. Andrew’s team that is capable of shooting their way into any game and then face the winner of Cushing Academy and Wilbraham and Monson is tough 4/5 game. #2 Vermont Academy meets Cheshire Academy on the other side of the bracket while #3 Worcester Academy meets #6 MacDuffie in what should be a great game.

Top seeded Kent opens with St. Sebastian’s and then appears to be on a collision course with 4th seeded Suffield Academy, who opens with Belmont Hill. Second seeded Williston Northampton drew a difficult road beginning with the two-time defending champions, Phillips Exeter. Trinity Pawling and Tabor Academy are also on the bottom half of the bracket.

Brooks is the #1 seed in Class B and they earned a pretty good draw with Canterbury, Beaver Country Day, Rivers and Millbrook all on the bottom half of the bracket. The top seed opens with Pomfret and then would potentially meet the winner of St. Mark’s and Master’s.

Pingree opens with Lexington Christian in Class C and could see the winner of Wheeler and two-time defending champions Green Farms in the semis. #2 St. Luke’s, #3 Hyde, #6 Winchendon, and #7 Dexter are on the other side of the bracket.

Boston Trinity earned the top seed in Class D while Watkinson is the second seed followed by Bancroft, Bradford Christian, Storm King, Chapel Hill-Chancy Hall and Chase Collegiate.

Semifinal action in all six divisions will take place on Saturday, March 7th while the finals will be a day later.

Endicott College will host Class A at 1pm, AA at 3pm, and AAA at 5pm while D, C, and B will take place at Holy Cross at 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm respectively.
