Central Catholic guard Tyler Nelson is taking an unofficial visit to George Washington this weekend, he announced on his twitter page on Friday afternoon.
“Unofficial visit to George Washington University #colonials” attracted a series of retweets on Friday afternoon as word quickly spread that Nelson was heading south to the nation’s capital.
The sharp-shooting guard’s recruitment has taken a significant jump in recent months as he has stood out in the BABC backcourt, proving himself to be one of the top three-point shooters in the EYBL.
Nelson shot 47% from the three-point line during the EYBL regular season, connecting on 52 of his 111 attempts, while also averaging over 12 points per game.
He currently holds offers from George Washington, Fairfield, Jacksonville, and Dartmouth while generating additional interest from Brown, USF, Florida State, Quinnipiac, and George Mason.
