#NEHF 9th & 10th Grade Divisions - Saturday Recap I
The 2015 Northeast Hoops Festival is up and running with action on 26 courts throughout Massachusetts and we'll be recapping the action with continuous blog entries throughout the weekend, so be sure to keep checking back for updates:
- The U Stars got good production out of Charlie Contenant on Saturday morning. The forward set some very good screens, made a baby hook with his left hand and even stepped out and hit a three.
- Iverson Lopez is a big, bulldog style guard for Premier Hoops who is shifty off the dribble and able to play through contact to get to the hoop or create space.
- Mike Carangelo is a big perimeter player for the New England playmakers who can see and pass over the defense, make plays going north to south and has some nice upside as he continues to fill out his frame.
- Middlesex Magic swingman Jared Gordon-Anderson showed a nice fundamental base to his game on the perimeter with good footwork including nice use of both a shot-fake as well as a jab step.
- The New England Playaz took the court for the first time this weekend and Calvin Whipple made a quick impression showing off a built up body and his normally lethal three-point shooting range.
