National Prep Showcase tips off Friday
The 2016 National Prep Showcase tips off on Friday morning at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut and once again features the very best prep and post-graduate programs in the entire country.
All six of the NEPSAC's AAA programs (Brewster Academy, Bridgton Academy, New Hampton School, Northfield Mount Hermon, South Kent and St. Thomas More) will be in attendance along with AA powerhouses Vermont Academy and Tilton School. Commonwealth Academy, Lee Academy, Notre Dame Prep and Putnam Science Academy will be in attendance from the newly formed Power Five Conference as well.
The National Prep Showcase will also welcome nine of the top post-graduate teams from beyond New England's borders (see Mike Yagmin's preview of those teams here) including Hargrave Military Academy, Sunrise Christian Academy, Massanutten Military Academy, Fork Union Military Academy, IMG Academy, Mount Zion Prep, Blair Academy, NTSI and Spire Institute.
While the event annually attracts upwards of 100 college coaches, additional credentials have already been issued to over 30 NBA scouts and 40 members of the mass media with representatives from ESPN, Scout, Rivals, Fox and numerous others.
Nationally ranked players in action include: Hamidou Diallo, Putnam Science; Makai Ashton-Langford, Brewster Academy; Kimani Lawrence, New Hampton; Naji Marshall, Hargrave; Deng Gak, Blair; Bruno Fernando, IMG; Kellan Grady, NMH; Simi Shittu, Vermont Academy; Eric Ayala, Putnam Science; Nate Laszewski, NMH; Sidney Wilson, Brewster Academy and Maxwell Lorca-Lloyd, NMH.
