Hargrave Military Academy took the 2016 National Prep Championship on Wednesday night with a win over St. Thomas More in the final.

This is their second national championship and first under head coach A.W. Hamilton.

The Tigers opened with a quarterfinal win over the defending national champions, Brewster Academy, and followed that up with a win over the NEPSAC champions, Northfield Mount Hermon, in Wednesday's semi-final. Their run culminated with the final against the Chancellors, who spent the majority of the season atop the AAA regular season standings.
