Munkadi Joins the Stags
Last week, Bridgeport Prep/PSA Cardinals 6’10” big Isaac Munkadi made his commitment to Fairfield for the 2024-25 season. The decision came despite also receiving offers from Sacred Heart, NJIT, and Monmouth.
Coming from the Congo, Munkadi made the move to the states prior to the 2022-23 season. He made an impact right away, averaging 20 points, 13 rebounds, and a couple of blocks through his first few contests with Bridgeport.
He has earned Power 5-AAA All-League honors both of the past two seasons. He also earned Zero Gravity Prep Classic All-Academic Team honors this past year after his 19-point/6-rebound performance at the ZGPC in December.
Perhaps the highest honor Munkadi earned this past season came after Bridgeport’s improbable run to the Power 5-AAA Championship, when he was named Power 5-AAA Defensive Player of the Year for his paint control and length.
It will be exciting to follow Isaac Munkadi over the next chapter of his career, as he competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at the Division I level with the Fairfield Stags…
